As always, so simple yet so strong - I love what you've done! You did a wonderful job with juxtaposing the weathered part of the stone with the darker part in this ring, and the wraps and knots contrast nicely.
You have my sympathy with the stone-cutting. Since my husband is a professional lapidary, I stick to the wire work instead...he is not happy when I try to use his rock-cutting tools! It's not easy work and never will be. Still, even though you say you're not gifted with lapidary skills, I think you do a wonderful job with it. Your time in crafting shows in the beauty of the piece.
